Still Not Over You
Of all the ways you look to me, tonight
You’re made of forsaken dreams refuted
For real life. And oh are you a sight
A sore and shallow mind has diluted
From having lost you all those years ago.
Our torn and lonely hearts were found rooted
Together tangled in our veins.
We’re old tattoos etched upon each other,
Our memory like aged skin stretched through time,
Though in your presence my body shudders.
It’s rather childish and absurd.
You’re still the reason why my pen flutters.
Although the tale of us might seem quite blurred,
I remembered it all
and put it in words.
